Born from lived experience and a deep love for New Orleans youth, The Wellness Collective powered by Ballerinas of the Bayou is a community-centered nonprofit advancing youth wellbeing, health equity, and economic mobility.

We believe young people deserve more than access to programs, they deserve environments that support the whole person. Through movement and the arts, mental and physical wellness, education, mentorship, career development, and entrepreneurship, we create opportunities for youth to build healthy relationships with themselves, their communities, and their futures.

Rooted in New Orleans and grounded in cultural connection, we intentionally serve young people who have historically experienced barriers to opportunity. We see youth not as “at-risk,” but as “at-promise,” and we work alongside them to turn talent, creativity, and potential into meaningful pathways for growth.

We are building a community where wellness is accessible, creativity is valued, opportunity is tangible, and every young person has the support to thrive.

Because when youth are equipped with resources, relationships, skills, and opportunity, they don't just survive.

Our mission is to advance the physical, emotional and creative well-being of youth and families through culturally responsive programming rooted in performance arts, wellness education and workforce development.

JFDU CREATIONS

JFDU Creations is the visual arts arm of our artistic powerhouse. This is where creativity is both a craft and a currency. Through collaborations in visual art, design, and custom creations, JFDU Creations brings imagination to life while reinvesting in the economic and cultural fabric of New Orleans.

JAZZY FUSION DANCE UNLIMITED

Since 2014, Jazzy Fusion Dance Unlimited has been a home for youth ages 2 to adult across the Greater New Orleans area, offering a vibrant, inclusive platform for artistic expression, personal development, and cultural celebration.

  • We believe that dance is more than performance — it is a language, a legacy, and a tool for transformation. Whether your child is taking their first plié or preparing for the stage, JFDU meets them where they are and elevates them to where they can be.

JFDU is a creative campus of programs and people united by one belief: that every young person deserves access to art, wellness, and opportunity. We proudly present a hub of creativity and talent, bringing together four different experiences under the arts umbrella of JFDU & Co. Each serves as a different part of our arts enterprise, and they include:

Ballerinas of the Bayou, The Wellness Collective powered by Ballerinas of the Bayou, JFDU Creations, and SoundHaus Music Studios.

  • Ballerinas of the Bayou 501c3 Fostering the technique and skill of arts disciplines, contributing to the cultural richness of our community through performance, education, and mentorship.

    JFDU Creations Unleashing creativity through visual art collaborations, bringing imagination to life and pouring it back into the economic structure of New Orleans.

    SoundHaus Music Studios Nurturing musical talent and providing a dedicated space for the creation of original work through lessons, showcases, recording, and more.
